So Oud
SoOud is a French niche perfume house conceived by perfumer Stéphane Humbert Lucas, born from his desire to celebrate oud, an emblematic wood of the Middle East, through the prism of French perfumery.
The concept of the “veil” is central to SoOud: from the lighter, more ethereal Eaux Fines to the generously concentrated Nektar perfumes, each creation plays on the idea of concealing in order to better reveal, like a partially hidden face that draws the eye. The bottles, designed as true jewels, blend opacity and transparency and evoke the architectural lines of the Middle East. SoOud is for those who love distinctive, mysterious perfumes and who seek in oud not a passing fad, but a unique and self-contained territory of expression.

Le fondateur
Stéphane Humbert Lucas is first and foremost an artist: painter, poet, and perfumer, he honed his skills under the tutelage of a Flemish master in the south of France, where he developed an almost synesthetic sensitivity that allows him to "see" scents and "feel" colors. From this perception emerges a highly personal olfactory language, nourished by symbols, architecture, mysticism, and Middle Eastern cultures, which he translates into dense, often theatrical compositions where woods, resins, metals, and light interact. For him, a perfume is never a mere product, but a work of art in its own right, conceived like a painting or a poem worn on the skin.
